BI Wave Laser Class IV - Equine Laser Therapy Machine | Wave Laser Class
This top of the range equine laser achieves clinical results by rapidly relieving pain, reducing inflammation and stimulating tissue repair.
Tissue wounds heal faster with greater tensile strength
Offers 660nm and 980nm wavelengths for optimal depth
Treatment protocols support treatment of varied issues
Deeper issues are treated intensively with super-pulsed mode
Continuous mode allows gentler treatment of inflamed areas
10W output enables super-fast treatment at safe levels
Portable, ergonomic device with 7” color touchscreen
Used by veterinarians, therapists and trainers, Bi-Wave produces positive outcomes in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions in horses. Class IV laser provides an ideal treatment for treating sports injuries and keeping equine athletes performing at the highest level.
How it Works
The Bi-Wave laser device uses a diode to emit infrared laser beams in either continuous or pulsed phases. The beams are carried via a fiber optic cable to the treatment wand. With the wand held over the skin, infrared light penetrates the tissue. The light energy is converted to chemical energy within cells, causing biochemical changes to occur that stimulate wound repair and cell proliferation, while bringing pain relief to the horse. The two different wavelengths enable the beam to penetrate soft tissue to different depths, with the beams also having different widths. Continuous mode enables a gentler treatment of more superficial conditions or inflamed injuries. Super-pulsed mode enables intensive treatment, with the intervals adding safety by preventing heat generation.
4 Principle Effects
As laser stimulates: profound change at a deep cellular level, its many beneficial effects are highly interrelated.
Tissue healing: Heightened fibroblast development and cellular reproduction induces faster healing in tendons, ligaments, nerves and muscles, with less scar tissue produced.
Anti-Inflammatory: Reduction of localized swelling and blocking of pro-inflammatory molecules, benefiting injuries and joint conditions.
Muscular: Relief of spasm and pain occurs, with improved vascular activity benefiting lymph and blood circulation, and healing of exercise-induced microtears.
Analgesic: Effects on the epidermal and subcutaneous neural network lead to reduction of acute and chronic pain, and improved nerve function.
